I have (2) panels fed from the same distribution board on 2 different floors. Each panel is 200a rated. I need to meter all of one panel and only a few loads on the 2nd panel with (1) class 2000 meter. I want to install the meter at the distribution board and install 200a ct's on (1) panel feeder, and install a 2nd set of CT's inside the second panel, only metering the selected circuits, not the entire panel. Can the CT's I use in the panel for the selected circuits be smaller than the 200a CT's I will use in the distribution board? When you parallel CT's to one meter, do they need to be the same size CT's?
