Can I extend the current sensor leads? If so, how far, and what type of wire do I use?

Class 1000, 2000, 2100, 4000, 4100 and Green Class Meters - The current sensor leads can be extended up to 2,000 feet away from the meter using #14-#22 AWG twisted-pair wire.
Class 3000 and 5000 meters - The current sensor leads can be extended up to 500 feet away from the meter using #14-#22 AWG twisted-pair wire.
NOTE: Consult your local electrical codes for proper sizing.
